Along with instilling a passion for the photographic arts in me, my father’s hobby of collecting antiques/love for all things vintage passed on to me as well.
He helped me start my collection of vintage cameras years ago, which I am very proud of today. (I plan on eventually making a section of this blog solely for vintage camera & film posts…stay tuned for that!)
I was going through old photo albums when I found the above photo of my father in the late 70’s/early 80’s rocking some of his own camera collection. I couldn’t believe my eyes because I only just a few months ago had my engagement photos taken where I got to use/showcase a few cameras from my collection. I had no idea we both had our portrait taken the same way…until today!
I love my father and everything I have learned from him!

We got our engagement photos done!

Peter and I had our engagement photos taken yesterday at Borderland State Park (which has the gorgeous Ames Estate - basically a big castle)! We had perfect weather and our photographer (Heather Chick Photography) was amazing!! She even printed out my engagement inspiration board from pinterest to make sure she got all of our creative shot ideas!

As you all know, being a photographer myself, it was quite the task to find the perfect photographer for our wedding and engagements, but Heather Chick was definitely the right choice!

I can’t wait to share the photos with you all :D
